Video Playback in Zoom

For optimal video playback in Zoom, simply follow these easy steps.

Step 1:  Download VLC Player for video playback

VLC is a free cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.

Step 2: Copy your YouTube video link and paste it into VLC video player for playback

Note: VLC Video player can also play local video files offering better quality playback than YouTube will. You cannot use files directly from Google Drive; you need to download the file first.

Step 3:  Share your VLC Video player with Zoom

Be sure “share computer sound” and “optimize screen share for Vvideo playback” are checked.

Step 4: Always playback in a small window

Do not use a full playback screen, as it will degrade playback performance.
