Office 365 Access

What is Office 365?

Office 365 is a Microsoft service that includes access to the Office suite of applications accessed via “the cloud”. Anywhere you have a computer and internet access you can use Office 365.

What is the cost of Office 365?

ATSU provides Office 365 to faculty, staff and students for the duration of your employment/enrollment.  Please note that Office 365 can be installed on 5 devices using your account.

How do I access Office 365?

Below are instructions to download Office 365 on your various devices.

To download the Office suite to a computer:

  1. Navigate to portal.office.com (This is not the ATSU portal) in your favorite browser
  2. Log in with your ATSU email address and password
  3. Find the “Install Office” drop-down menu near the top right-hand corner of the window
  4. Select “Office 365 Apps”, which will download the installer
  5. Run the installer (this will likely be found in your Downloads folder)

To use Office apps to your mobile device:

  1. Open the App Store or the Play Store on your mobile device
  2. Search “Microsoft Office”
  3. Select and download your desired apps
  4. Log in with your ATSU email address and password

I’m having some trouble getting started…

  • If you have created an alias email address for your student email, make sure to use your original student email address when logging in
  • Passwords are synced with your ATSU Portal and email password and cannot be reset

When using Office on your computer for the first time, make sure to uninstall any previously installed versions of Office, and install the version provided when logged into portal.office.com
