ATSU_Video_Stream

Google Drive Video

  • Content is stored in generic ATSU program Google Drive account.
    Any user with rights to access the generic account can upload, modify, and organize content.
  • Files can only be uploaded one at a time.
    Video files may take longer to upload because Google re-encodes them to a more suitable format for the Google Video player.
  • Server backup of content is provided by Google.
  • Content uploaded to Google Drive can be shared with specific Google users, or a group of Google users.

YouTube

  • Video files are stored in a YouTube account.
  • Any user with rights to access the account can upload, modify, and organize video content.
  • Files can only be uploaded one at a time
    • Video files take some time to upload because YouTube re-encodes them to make them a more suitable formate for the YouTube player.
    • Server backup of content is provided by YouTube.
      Content uploaded to YouTube can be shared publicly or privately.

Akamai/Olympusat

  • Video files are uploaded exclusively by ITS staff.
  • Video files are modified and organized exclusively by ITS staff.
  • Server backup of content is provided by Akamai/Olympusat.
  • ITS rep provides HTML or link for streaming player.

Echo360

  • Video files are uploaded by Echo360 authenticated users.
  • Video files are modified and organized exclusively by Echo360 authenticated users.
  • Video files can only be uploaded one at a time.
  • Server backup of content is provided by ATSU.
  • Content accessible to users through publisher settings created during upload. (see Echo360 info page)

iTunesU

  • Video files are uploaded exclusively by ITS staff.
  • Video files are modified and organized exclusively by ITS staff.
  • Server backup of content is provided by iTunesU.
  • Content accessible to users through iTunesU app (via the ATSU Portal).
