Minimum technology specifications for 2017-2018

It is your choice whether to use a laptop or desktop and whether you use a Windows computer or a Mac. Any reputable computer dealer can assist you with the specifications. Note that some schools or programs may not require cameras and headsets, please check with your instructor.

Windows computer

  • i5 Processor or better
  • 8GB RAM
  • Windows OS (Operating System) 7 or newer
  • Microsoft Office 2016 or newer, or
    • You can request Office 365 from the Service Desk at no charge. Your account will be disabled upon graduation and you will need to purchase a personal account at that time if you want to retain your data.
    • The suite of applications you receive with your Google Apps account may not be used to substitute for MS Office.  Office 365 is fine.
  • DSL, cable, or other high-speed internet
  • Webcam
  • Headset

Apple computer
